Ballpark history: Wrigley Field

This day in ballpark history: February 25, 1988

A Chicago City Council ordinance paves the way for up to eight night games at Wrigley Field in 1988, 18 a season in following years and the 1990 All-Star Game. The first scheduled night contest on August 8 vs. Philadelphia turns out to be a rainout. The Cubs win 6-4 over the Mets one night later.
