What's in a (team) name?

We recently featured Wichita, one of our stops on Tour #1 from Kansas City.


Wichita's new franchise now has a name: the Wind Surge. The Sunflower State's largest city is known as the "Air Capital of the World" with thousands employed in aerospace.


The Wind Surge will have a weather-related rival as Omaha's Pacific Coast League entry is the Storm Chasers.


And on June 15, we'll see Wichita battle the Albuquerque Isotopes, a team named after an episode of "The Simpsons."
